Our pool pump, puts out 2500 gallons per hour and the fountain shoots 5 to 6 feet high. It was easy to install and is beautiful! The instructions say that it is adaptable to all soft walled pools and with all the adapters that come with it I believe it!
This floating fountain is elegant and it has improved the look of our yard and pool area. The product is easy to hook up and it came with every connection that can fit any pool. My husband connected it to one of our filters in the pool, which has a strong water flow. He said the strong pressure is important to the flow of the fountain and he was so right!! One advice I would like to share. When you hook up the connection to your pool area and the connections are loose, do not worry. After turning on your filter, the strong water pressure will tightens the connection automatically. We almost sent the product back because my sweet husband thought the connection was not tight enough for the water to flow. We tried it and to our surprise it worked. It would be nice if the slack connection was mentioned in the direction. Apart from that is works just fine and the look is amazing for the price. I love Walmart. Mitch.
I am using a 1HP Hayward pump and a 24FT round pool. this fountain is stunning! I have received many compliments from friends and family on this one. Great price too! I would definitely recommend this. It is a bit tricky to find the correct adapter for the Jet however. Once that is done, it's perfect!
The product should say what type of pool it fits. I have an Intex with 1500 gph (18x48)and this pic is what I get. Can't take it back cause I cut the hose, so eventually I hope to figure how to make it spray higher.All openings are covered. It sprays maybe 2 feet high and I am disappointed because it is in a beautifully secluded area and I can see it from the house and there is a light on it at night. I was hoping for a much higher shower!!!!!
Cools my pool like it should. Had one previously and the hose went bad. Tried to find a new hose for it everywhere I could think of, but to no avail. Bought a whole new fountain to solve the problem. Now I have 2 fountains and 1 hose.
We installed this fountain to our inground pool in about 10 minutes. Since installation, our pool temp has dropped from the mid 90's (yuck) to upper 80's. The trick is to run the fountain at night and it cools water faster. It is easy to regulate the height of the fountain and I like how when you dont want to use it you can just set it on the side of the pool because of it's flexible hose. Otherwise, it looks great and has a great calming sound. My children (8 & 6) enjoy swimming while its turned on. Seems durable.
We had to upgrade our intex pump and improvise. It will shoot up to around 8-10 feet. Had to make shift the part. I bought it here at Walmart.com 2 years ago. Still works! (Only gave it 4 stars~just because of purchasing a stronger pump and took awhile to get the part to work)
We originally purchased Walmart's 20' round metal frame pool that came with the Intex 635T filter pump. This pump is not near enough to operate this fountain at the desired levels you see on the box photo. So I only gave it 3 of 5 for that reason. Another issue was with the built in pressure regulator, it was a good design on paper probably, but in realtime if completly closed for full pressure, it spews out little streams of water #leaks# every which way, and the threaded adaptors do the same. I used teflon tape on the threads which helped, but I wonder if this does'nt cause a loss in pressure for those users with smaller pumps. The good side of this is, you will usually have the water level of the pool above the jet that the fountain connects to so you wont see the little "leaks". Now on the PLUS side. the Intex 635T Filter System our pool came with also uses the 'A' series filter, which are getting harder to find except through Intex direct, so we started looking for a Sand Filter system. From our local pool supplier and others, we were running into 400-700 price tags with tax and shipping included. But then we found the Krystal Clear Sand Filter pump 14" Model SF15110 #$229 and change#. I was skeptical at first, due to it's overall size, but we hooked it all up, filled it with 40 lbs. of sand, and then connected the above fountain. We WERE AMAZED at what a difference the Sand filter pump made in output of the fountain. So I only gave it 3 of 5. The bottom line, this is a good product overall, but it may or may not work with the factory pump your pool came with, without an upgrade. BUT the good news is Walmart stocks a Sand Filter system that works well with this fountain and the filter pump is affordable! See my photo of the fountain in action on the sand filter pump..
I purchased this fountain for my above ground pool but it would not fit The box stated in ground and above ground pools but like I said would not fit mine That's the reason for the poor rating and yes to recommend to a friend But check your in take fitting to make sure it works before buying
will not hook up to Coleman power steel pool 😞
